Select this check box (a tick appears when it is selected), to print an æEnd of ReportÆ message at the end of all reports to indicate that the report is complete. If a report is cancelled before completion, the message will indicate that the report was terminated.
If this check box is de-selected, no message will be printed.

Select this check box to automatically print your company address on reports and letters.

Select this check box (a tick appears when it is selected) if you want to be able to amend the VAT amount figure that is calculated automatically when you create invoices or credit notes from within the Invoicing option.

On installation, the T9 tax code is automatically set as the default tax code for transactions that do not involve VAT (so are not included on the VAT Return), and for all the routines that are non-vatable, e.g. journal entries and error corrections.
If you want to change this default tax code, select the tax code you require from the drop-down list.

Your Sage accounting program handles VAT in one of two ways: Standard VAT Accounting and VAT Cash Accounting. Select this box (a tick appears when it is selected) if you require your VAT Return to be calculated on a VAT Cash Accounting basis, i.e. calculated from the input and output VAT amounts you actually receive and pay, rather than those amounts you have invoices for.
This check box is automatically selected if you selected the VAT Cash Accounting option when you ran Instant AccountingÆs ActiveSetup Wizard.
You can only change to VAT Cash Accounting if all VAT transactions on the audit trail have been cleared.

Select this check box to exclude any transactions that have been deleted using the File Maintenance option from your transaction activity list boxes.
If you want to include these deleted transactions on your list boxes, leave this check box de-selected.
Your deleted transactions appear in red on the audit trail in the Financials window. You cannot exclude these from this window.

If you want to display the supplier or customer account status, select this check box. This check box is not checked by default so your account statuses will not be displayed when you first use your Instant program.

Select this check box to enable the Active Search facilities. This check box is selected by default. For more information see The ActiveSearch Facility.

The Access Rights option lets you set individual passwords for each person who has access to Instant. You can even restrict which options and windows each user can use. Select this check box (a tick appears when it is selected) to set up your user access rights facility.

If you want to display negative stock values, select this check box. For example, a negative stock value may occur if you have not recorded recent deliveries of stock to your warehouse, but have still been recording the sales to your customers.
If you do not want to allow negative stock values, make sure that this check box is de-selected.
Please note that if your stock value does fall to a negative value, the cost price is calculated as an average and so there will be an increased profit on the stock valuation report. For more information see Negative Stock Troubleshooting.

(Network version only) Clear this check box if you want to prevent people logging onto Instant using the same user name. If the check box is cleared and a user attempts to log in using the same user name, the error message "Username is in use û the program cannot connect you at this time" appears. The user will not be able to log in until the other person using this username has logged out.
Note: If you use this option, you must ensure that this check box is cleared on every other PC on the network that is running Instant Accounting Plus.
